Week Five: Jupiter

The best time to connect with Jupiter is the month before or after the Sun-Jupiter opposition, and the Full Moon closest to this opposition. This is when the Earth is closest to Jupiter in the solar system. The next Sun-Jupiter opposition is 12/7/2024 and the nearest Full Moon conjunction with Jupiter is 12/14/2024

It is also excellent to honor the new moons on either side of the moon-jupiter full moon, as these will be the darkest nights when Jupiter is at their brightest. Basically this is one month of worshipping Jupiter from new moon to the next new moon.

After this the next Sun-Jupiter opposition is 1/10/2026 and the nearest Full Moon Conjunction with Jupiter is 1/3/2026

If the Sun-Jupiter opposition is not happening during the eight weeks of your Tarot and Flow journey, then the next best time to honor Jupiter is during a Moon-Jupiter conjunction and there will be at least one visible during the eight weeks. Set the intention to get out to see one Moon Jupiter conjunction during your eight weeks.

From the Sun-Jupiter conjunction when Jupiter is not visible, to a month later when Jupiter is visible for two hours before sunrise, and each month after that when Jupiter rises two hours earlier until after six months the Sun-Jupiter opposition arrives and Jupiter rises at sunset and sets at sunrise.

Another moment to focus on is the closest Moon-Jupiter conjunction to a new moon, the Moon-Sun-Jupiter triple conjunction that only happens for 1-3 days each year and which represents the seed-planting moment in your own personal cycle of abundance in both your public and most intimate life. This is the only moment when both the Moon and Jupiter are hidden from the night sky for the entire night. There is one month of every 13 that Jupiter can’t be seen, and only 2 nights of the moon being invisible. These could be good nights to go out at midnight, at peak darkness and plant your seed and intentions for how you will expand and grow in abundance over the coming 6-7 months. At the closest full moon to the monthly Moon-Jupiter conjunction give thanks and praise as you recognize all of the abundance in different areas of your life especially home and family, emotionally, and self-care.

Meditate on how Jupiter’s three year cycle is a cycle of growth. Reflect on where you were at three years ago in different areas of your life (interpersonally, career, psychologically, spiritually) and journal about how you have grown in each of these areas. Set intentions for how you want to grow and expand over the next three years in each of these areas.

4/2 Jupiter rises at 9:53 am with the Moon 5 degrees above. Sunset at 6:04 pm with Moon-Jupiter in the 9th/8th house. Exact conjunction at 6:25 pm at 16 degrees Gemini in the 8th house 20 minutes after sunset (visible).

4/30 Jupiter rises at 8:24 am with the Moon 2 degrees above. Exact conjunction at 11:57 am at 21 degrees Gemini in the 11th house (not visible). Sunset at 6:06 pm with Moon 4 degrees above Jupiter in the 8th house

5/28 Jupiter rises at 7am with the Moon 1 degree above. Exact conjunction at 8 am at 27 degrees Gemini in the 12th house (not visible). Sunset at 6:12 pm with Jupiter in the 7th house and the Moon 6 degrees above.

6/24 Sun-Jupiter conjunction at 3 degrees Cancer 10:12 am.

6/25 Jupiter rises at 5:37 am with the Sun and Moon (exact new Moon) less than 1 degree below the horizon. The exact Moon-Jupiter conjunction is at 4:32 am at 3 degrees Cancer in the 1st house (not visible and in exact triple conjunction with the Sun)

7/23 Jupiter Gate #1 Moon-Jupiter conjunction exact at 10 degrees Cancer at midnight (11:56 pm the 22nd). Jupiter rises at 4:15 am with the Moon less than 3 degrees below. Moon rises 4:26 am. Sun rises at 5:56 am with Moon and Jupiter in the 12th house, and giving at least 45 minutes to view the conjunction.

This is one of the most special Moon-Jupiter conjunctions (along with the full Moon one at opposition, and the last one in the cycle that is visible close to the western horizon after sunset), giving a chance for photos against backdrop of sunrise/sunset colors, and looking at the conjunction at eye level, not having to look up, with a kind of direct intimacy.

8/19 Jupiter Gate #2 moon Jupiter conjunction exact at 16 degrees Cancer at 5:03 pm. Jupiter rises at 2:54am 8 degrees below the Moon, and in a triple conjunction with Venus on the 19th and 20th. Venus rises 30 minutes after Jupiter (7 degree conjunction. Jupiter at Moon-Venus midpoint (Moon 15 degrees above Venus on 19th and 2 degrees above on the 20th). Jupiter is 6 degrees above the Moon-Venus conjunction on the 20th.

9/16 Jupiter Gate #3 Moon-Jupiter conjunction exact at 20 degrees Cancer at 7:18 am. Jupiter rises at 1:26 am, 3 degrees below the Moon.

10/13 Jupiter Gate #4 Moon-Jupiter conjunction exact at 24 degrees Cancer at 6:49 pm. Jupiter rises at 11:54 pm 10 degrees below the Moon on the 12th and 3 degrees above the Moon on the 13th.

11/10 Jupiter Gate #5 at 25 degrees Cancer at 4:08 am. Jupiter rises at 10:10 pm on the 9th 4 degrees below the Moon, and on the 10th 10 degrees above the Moon.

11/11 Jupiter stations retrograde at 25 degrees Cancer at 11:41 am

12/7 Jupiter Gate #6 at 24 degrees Cancer at 11:50 am. Jupiter rises at 8:15 pm on the 7th 5 degrees above the Moon and on the 6th 10 degrees below the Moon

1/3 Jupiter Gate #7 at 21 degrees Cancer at 5:55 pm. Jupiter rises at 6:15 pm 1/4 degrees below above the Moon. Full Moon conjunction Jupiter. Jupiter crowns the Moon queen of the night, and the Moon carries Jupiter all night long.

1/10 exact Sun-Jupiter opposition at 20 degrees Cancer-Capricorn at 3:15 am.

1/30 Jupiter Gate #8 Moon-Jupiter conjunction exact at 17 degrees Cancer at 10:17 pm. Jupiter rises at 4:13 pm 4 degrees below the Moon.

2/27 Jupiter Gate #9 Moon-Jupiter conjunction exact at 15 degrees Cancer at 2:09 am. Jupiter rises at 2:18 pm 7 degrees below the Moon on the 26th, and 7 degrees above the Moon on the 27th.
