Week Three: Mars
Watch Mars/Jupiter Video
Mars Retrograde: 12/6/2024. Sun-Mars opposition 1/15/2025 Mars Direct: 2/23/2025
Mars is brightest and visible for the longest during the month before and after the Sun-Mars opposition (basically the full time that Mars is retrograde). At opposition Mars is 75 times brighter than when it first becomes visible upon return from the other side of the Sun. This is when the Earth is closest to Mars, and this is the ideal time for connecting with Mars both visually and spiritually. Perhaps the best time during this window to intentionally do ritual with an expedition to see Mars (they are visible almost all night from sunset to sunrise during these two months) is when the full moon (or nearly full Moon) is conjunct Mars. The date for the next Full Moon conjunction with Mars is 1/13/25
Also important are the new moons on either side of the full moon mars conjunction, as the sky will be darkest, and mars shine the brightest on these nights. December 30th 2024 exact Capricorn new moon at 10 Capricorn at 5:26pm, and the next new moon 1/29/25 at 10 degrees Aquarius at 7:36 am.
***1/18/2026 The next Sun-Mars conjunction at the new moon is seeding point for the next mars cycle and a great time to get started on something. Mercury and Mars just 2 degrees before the new moon, and Venus 3 degrees past with Pluto just 5 degrees past. 6 planets with 7 degrees (all trine to Uranus). Exact Saturn-Neptune conjunction
After this the next Sun-Mars opposition is 2/19/2027 and the Full Moon conjunction with Mars 2/20/2027
