Main Quest Content and Assignments
This week's first two videos continue the adventures of the Fool through the Minor Arcana with my commentary on all four primary decks we've been exploring in this class. There are five videos in this series, and I had such a good experience taking the time to really honor each card, and to get a deeper sense of what is really going on with the Fool's side quests beyond the Major Arcana. There was something for me about recording this Minor Arcana video series after the one on the majors, that really helped me see that the minors are really where the Fool learns their lessons about life that lead to happiness, wholeness and authenticity.
The third main quest video this week completes my two part series on the Court cards, focusing here on the Knights, Queens and Kings. These cards move beyond the minor arcana and take our dear Fool on a path towards mastery. Having been through many challenges in the minors, they've gained enough wisdom that they need support, and they seek apprenticeship with elders on the path. The Fool bows to the Queen of Cups and asks for her blessings and guidance. She sends them straight away to apprentice with the Knight of Cups, and the Fool transforms into the Page of Cups learning to master their emotions, their intuition and their capacity to feel the love and support of the Divine.
Main Quest Exercises/assignments
There is no main quest skywatching assignment this week. You can consult your own side quest calendar of additional expeditions you've set intention for (Moon-Jupiter conjunctions, Moon-Mercury conjunctions, lunar eclipse, solar eclipse, comets), but I don't think you should lose any sleep for this, and probably you should save up your energy for the final big skywatching expedition at the end of next week and at the end of your eight week time and energy investment. You don't want to burn out like the ten of wands right when you should be peaking with your skills.
This is the moment when you should be finding maximum pleasure with these practices, and you will get an A+ from me if you manage to have a truly joyous final encounter with our lady friends in the sky. You should be efficient with your energy like a pro athlete, resting more close to the state championship, and feeling the rush of energy coursing back to you when it really matters.
So it's a good time to really start planning for your final big skysurfing adventure next week. Have you cleared your calendar of any other responsibilities for those sunrise and sunset sessions? Do you know where you're going? Are you going to go someplace special for your last Moon-Venus communion experience? I think you should try! Are you going solo or with a sky-surfing buddy?
Tarot/Altar crafting exercises/ assignments
Similarly to what I just wrote, I would keep it simple from here until the end of next week, when you should plan on some extra-special tarot and altar craft experiences.
Side Quest Content
Here you will find three videos from the 2019 version of the class where I explore the Court Cards and Minor Arcana of the Osho Zen Tarot. I do think it could be very valuable to watch these videos if you want to see me explore just one deck and also to see how I have a unique way of working with this deck. I think by seeing me focus only on my most beloved deck, you can feel how you develop a love language with a primary deck that is so very different than the meanings proscribed to you by the tarot tradition, or the book of interpretations that are found with most decks.
You will also find a YouTube video playlist meant for the rest of the class journey and beyond. I have recorded a commentary on the playlist with some of my reasons for selecting each video, if you feel pulled to hear that, but this is just meant to be for fun if you feel intuitively pulled towards a particular video title.
