So another month has passed, and the Moon is back, joining Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in another, incredibly rare, 4 planet conjunction. This is the sixth time this year that the Moon has joined the slower moving planets to form what I’ve been calling a “Council of Elders Portal.” It is another chance to be held by the Moon and the other lights in the sky, as we move through this incredibly challenging year.

I hope you will make a pilgrimage to see them tonight and spend some time in silent reflection. Extend your consciousness to make contact with these great beings of light, and then relax to receive whatever loving messages of guidance come to you.

I strongly recommend trying to get outside to see this alignment in these next three nights. Tonight it will be tightly conjoined with Jupiter, and the next two nights closer to Saturn. If you are fortunate with the weather, find a sweet spot with a view of the eastern horizon and then, as the Sun sets behind you, you will see the nearly full Moon rising next to Jupiter and Saturn, who are both at their brightest right now due to the Earth being at its closest distance to them both (as well as Pluto). It’s even better if you can find a spot that has views of both the eastern and western horizons so you can watch the sunset (and also look for comet Neowise), and then turn around to see the Moon with Jupiter and Saturn.

Hey Everyone: Be sure to get out after sunset these next 2 nights to observe a Full Moon rising conjunct Jupiter, Saturn (both visible) and Pluto. They will stay visible all night, and so if the weather is good let yourself be pulled outside to check it out. In this video I share my reflections on this first night of the alignment which involved a penumbral lunar eclipse and the 4th of July fireworks display over San Francisco and Oakland. This is definitely one lunar eclipse that I will never forget (even if it was penumbral). There is an obvious power to this moment, and what I feel is the peak two months of this year-long alignment of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, which I have been calling the Dragon Rider Portal of 2020.

This has been such an amazing alignment to observe each month this year as the Moon has joined the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto alignment. This is the 5th time that the alignment has formed, and for me it has been the most profound experience of watching the lunar pulses of time combine with the larger 20 year pulses of the Jupiter-Saturn alignment, and the even larger pulses of Jupiter-Saturn and Pluto tightly coming together in this once-in-a-thousand year way.

It has been really powerful for me to be attuned to Venus in these recent weeks as she has moved from being a very bright evening star (in a long, heart-chakra-opening, square to Neptune), to her moving retrograde and between the Earth and the Sun, where she is not currently visible. I am really looking forward to greeting her in a week or so as she becomes a morning star and continues her daily reminder to stay in our hearts. 

A sextile has a special feeling of harmony and stimulating closeness for the planets involved, and as you observe one, you can understand why astrologers have associated this angle with positive meanings. This is a great time to get a feeling for the sextile, as the visible planets involved here (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) are moving slowly enough that you can really feel into it’s quality over these next three weeks, and with the Moon crossing that 60 degree span over the next 5 nights this a particularly great week for experiencing it.
