Here are my thoughts on tonight’s lunar eclipse. Although I’m not thrilled about waking up 3 am, I’m really looking forward to observing this very special astronomical event which reaches max totality at 4:17 am here in San Francisco. This eclipse will be fully visible along the west coast of North America, Hawaii, South East Asia, and parts of Australia and Oceana.
